Which airport — TFS or TFN?
Tenerife has two airports: Tenerife South (TFS) and Tenerife North–Ciudad de La Laguna (TFN). Check the code on your ticket and arrange transport from the correct airport.
Getting around from the airport
TITSA buses connect the airports with several towns across the island. Routes vary by airport, so check stops, timetables and fares before travelling.
Mount Teide and hiking
Some Teide trails require advance reservations, and access can be restricted in adverse conditions. Check permits, trail status and weather before setting out.
What to bring
You may visit the coast and mountains on the same day. Pack suitable shoes, water and an extra layer; choose walking routes that match your experience.
